Dummy knobs are stationary decorative pulls. There are two types: Full Dummy sets (two knobs) and Half Dummy sets (one knob). Full Dummy sets appear on both sides of one door, and are ideal for double doors, closets, pantries, and utility spaces. Half Dummy sets appear on just one side of a door, and are ideal for cabinets, linen closets, and the inactive side of French doors. Dummy knobs mount easily to the face of a door with three small screws. Note: ModKnobs are 2 3/4" - 3" in diameter. Because Dummy knobs do not turn or latch, you may want to use a ball catch or magnetic catch to keep your door closed when not in use.

The backset of a door is the distance (in inches) from the edge of the door to the center of the bore hole. ModKnobs are designed for doors with a backset of 2 ^3/8”.

It's possible. Some countries require that a Tariff or Duty fee be collected for international purchases at the time of pickup or delivery. Every nation has its own policies, so we cannot predict or collect these fees. ModKnobs are custom built to order, using superb Baldwin Estate hardware, its really the top of the line stuff. Also, several of our designs require waterjet and laser cutting, and every piece is finished by hand.

All of our design, engineering and fabrication work is done in the United States. We can’t compete on price with doorknobs mass-produced in factories. But we do offer a great alternative for people seeking innovative, contemporary, beautifully built doorknobs.

Puck ModKnobs clean up easily with a gentle cleanser like Soft Scrub or Bon Ami. Matte ModKnobs look great with a little soap and water, followed by Butcher Block Oil. Oak and Walnut ModKnobs can be cleaned with gentle soap and water. Teak Oil protects, and enhances the sheen of Walnut ModKnobs.

If you’re not 100% satisfied with your order, you can return or exchange your ModKnobs for a full refund, minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping costs. You have 15 calendar days from when you receive your order to notify us that you'd like to make a return or exchange. Please contact us for an RGA (returned goods authorization) number and pack your returns carefully. If they are damaged in transit, we will not be able to issue full credit for the return. We must receive your return in its original packaging, in new condition and suitable for resale. As soon as your product has been received and inspected, we will issue your refund (which may take 5-10 business days to be reflected in your account).

We require all returns and exchanges to be pre-authorized with an RGA (returned goods authorization) number. This number allows us to quickly update your account once we have received your return. We cannot accept returns without an RGA#. Please use insured US Mail or UPS and keep your tracking numbers.
